Presently this subject can be studied up to GCSE level and is proving to be a very useful with students who wish to go onto 'A' level Product Design. Initially, in Year 7 students learn about different 3D drawing systems and ways of presenting their work to achieve maximum effect.  They then undertake a range of design and make activities aiming to incorporate previously learned work.

Years 8 and 9 build upon Year 7 work with the tasks becoming more varied and demanding. Teacher expectation is also raised. The final project in KS3 Graphics is to design and model a handheld radio. The students are required to follow the complete design process at this stage with the result gained making up their SATs grades.

In Year 10 and 11, if students have opted for the subject, they are introduced to further, more advanced presentation and drawing techniques along with a variety of 3D modelling tasks. Students are encouraged to develop their IT skills enabling some modelling to be done in a virtual world.

The final project in Year 11 is their GCSE design folio and realisation of a product they have conceived. The folio draws upon all their designing skills learned in previous years whilst the manufacturing of the model is required to be of industry quality. The guidelines given by the teacher and ethos expected of students within Graphic products is always to learn to the best of ability.

With A-C pass rates always way above both national and school average, Graphic Products is a popular, thriving, successful subject popular which the students of this school enjoy
