The Downs School is a coeducational, comprehensive school serving the scattered rural community of the Berkshire Downs and beyond. The location has good road links to Newbury, Reading, Didcot and Oxford - situated 10 minutes from the A34. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum and are firmly committed to establishing first class standards and are proud of our achievements. Our expectations are high and this is reflected in our very successful academic record. The School was inspected in June 2013 under the new framework and was judged 'Outstanding'. The Downs School is a stimulating and friendly environment to work in and also offers an excellent established induction and CPD programme to support staff. Compton CE Primary School has been federated with The Downs School since July 2012.

Salary: West Berks Salary Band B. Range Point 7–11, (£8.55-£8.82 per hour)
Contract type: Term Time and Part Time (27.08 hours per week), plus 1 Inset day in September. 09:00-15:15 Monday-Friday

A fantastic opportunity to provide teachers and the SEN team with practical support. You will work either individually or with small groups of children to promote positive learning and behaviour.
