The Downs School is a coeducational, comprehensive school serving the scattered rural community of the Berkshire Downs and beyond. The location has good road links to Newbury, Reading, Didcot and Oxford - situated 10 minutes from the A34. Temporary Teacher of Dance (Maternity Cover)

Salary: Mainscale/Upper Pay Range
Contract type: Part-Time (Full-time will be considered) and Temporary (Maternity Contract)

We are looking to appoint a temporary teacher of Dance, applications from NQTs are welcomed. Dance forms part of our highly successful Performing Arts Faculty and you will therefore be joining a dynamic, exciting and committed team. Dance is a continually developing curriculum area which is currently offered at KS3 and KS4 (BTEC) and taught across all key stages, including Sixth Form.

The faculty offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities such as trips, dance projects, competitions (Rock Challenge) and internal shows and performances, such as the school dance show. There is an expectation that the post holder will play an integral part in these highly popular events.
