Downs School Attainment Continues to Rise!
Congratulations to All!
The Downs School, Compton was again very proud of its students' results at Key Stage 5 maintaining the historic high standards of its Sixth Form with an almost 100% pass rate.
Headteacher Val Houldey said,
The sixth form has grown considerably over the past two years and it is encouraging to see that with even bigger numbers we are keeping up excellent levels of attainment. ![]()
There were many students with an excellent individual performance, gaining A grades in all subjects. Outstanding results were gained in the following subjects where the percentage of students grades A and B were above 70%: English Literature, French, Geography, History, Law, Mathematics, Politics (100%).
Head of Sixth Form, Andy Hartley said,
I'm particularly delighted that we have maintained our high standards with a much wider ability range than in previous years. Our almost 100% pass rate is testament to this. There are also some stunning individual performances with many of our students off to the very highest calibre of universities in the autumn. ![]()

A Level
- Pass rate - 99.7%
- A* or A Grades - over 31%
- A and B Grades - over 64%
- A*-C Grades - 85%
BTEC Level 2
- Pass rate - 100%
- Merit*, merit or distinction - 89%
