Raising Money for Teenage Cancer Research
Pyjamas in School!
One cold Februry, Monday morning you would be forgiven for thinking the whole school had overslept and had not had time to get dressed before coming to school!
Naturally staff and students at The Downs School are far too organised for that and in fact were supporting an initiative by year 8 students to raise money for Teenage Cancer Research.
Form 8JO organised the 'Pyjama Day' and it was great to see staff and students alike supporting the idea and everybody said how comfortable and relaxing it was to be in dressing gowns on a cold February day.
Assemblies and lessons continued as normal and approximately £700 was raised. Well done and keep up the good work!
