Language at Work Conference

Opportunities for Linguists

The Downs School Year 12 and 13 linguists were invited to participate in a ‘Languages at Work Conference’. This is in exciting opportunity for the group to use their language skills in a ‘real life’ situation. The day is also designed to encourage students to consider Higher Education and career paths.

The conference took place on Thursday 24th January 2008 at the Newbury Rugby Club and students were asked to come in business dress, as ‘delegates’ to a Language Conference.
