Day Trip to Boulogne
What a Fantastic Day!

On Saturday 27th September a group of 43 students and 7 teachers got up very early indeed! We were going to Boulogne for the day and took the ferry at 8.30. This meant we had to meet at school at 5.15am!
The journey to Dover went quickly - some people took the opportunity to catch up on some sleep!
When we arrived in Boulogne the first thing to do was to visit the market which was just about to close. We were able to see some unusual fruits and vegetables and buy cheese for lunch. For some people this was their first trip abroad and so the first time they could speak French in France! Most people bought lots of sweets too!
After lunch we walked up to the old part of the town and round the ramparts. We saw the cathedral and had some shopping time.

To soon it was time to meet up and return to the coach to return to Calais to take the boat.
We arrived back on time - tired but happy with our day.
