As part of the AS and A–Level course in Art and Design, all students are expected to undertake artist research. In order to enhance their knowledge of art and provide an opportunity for students to develop their coursework, an educational visit to Tate Britain in London was organised.
Students used the visit to gather artist research to support the development of ideas. Sketches and notes were made. Highlights of the trip were seeing work produced by Henry Moore, David Hockney, Turner, Lucian Freud, Tracey Emin to name just a few. A fantastic day was had by all involved!
