New House Ties
Students Initiate House Ties
The school is excited about introducing House Ties for the academic year 2010-2011. This will be compulsory for all Year 7 students and optional for all other students. This change is in response to student feedback from the uniform questionnaire that was undertaken last year. Students wanted something that would give the house system a higher profile and allow people to easily identify which house they were in.
A variety of designs were circulated to all tutor groups so that they could vote for their favourite design. The ones on view below were clear winners.
It will be compulsory for the new Year 7 students arriving in September to wear a house tie. Our new students will be told which house they belong to on the “Rising year 7 Induction “ day, Thursday 15th July, and ties will be on sale at the Induction Evening, which is also 15th July, or can be purchased from our supplier,Trutex, in Newbury after this event.
